Badminton Tournament Rules
- Match: Best of 3 games.
- Scoring: Each game is played to 21 points using rally-point scoring.
- Deuce: At 20–20, a player/team must lead by 2 points. At 29–29, the next point wins.
- Serve: The server serves from the right when their score is even and from the left when their score is odd.
- Service: The shuttle must be hit below the legal service height and diagonally into the opponent's service court.
- In/Out: A shuttle landing on the boundary line is in.
- Net: Touching the net with the racket or body during play is a fault.
- Double hit: A player/team cannot hit the shuttle twice consecutively.
- Change of ends: Players change ends after each game. In the third game, they change ends when one side reaches 11 points.
- Intervals: Maximum 60 seconds at 11 points and 2 minutes between games.
- Conduct: No intentional distraction, arguing with officials, abusive language, or unsportsmanlike behaviour.
- Late arrival: A player/team arriving after the tournament's announced grace period may be declared walkover, according to the organizer's rules.
- Referee/organizer: The umpire's decision during the match is final.
- Equipment: Players must use approved rackets and shuttlecocks specified by the tournament organizer.
- Injury: Reasonable medical/injury time may be allowed at the umpire's discretion.
- Disputes: Any protest must be raised with the tournament official immediately after the relevant match.
